    From the composer:
"Each piece of the set utilizes techniques and devices of a particular musical period or style of Western music. These settings, however, employ contemporary musical practices, a musical perspective not unlike recalling an experience of long ago. The music is of medium-advanced grade scored for two flutes, or two oboes, or two clarinets with piano; or they may be played in interchangeable combinations.

    BAROQUE REFLECTIONS
“Baroque”—originally a derogatory term referring to an irregular or deformed pearl—is applied to the arts from the late 16th to the late 18th centuries. The Baroque style of music represented a new spirit of personal expression sometimes bordering on the spectacular and flamboyant Opera was an important musical development during the Baroque period. Important instrumental composers who are quoted in this piece include J.S. Bach and Antonio Vivaldi."
