Far from distance

Movement/Section Duration: 10.5
  • This edition consists of one performing score.

    From the composer:

'The piece plays with the merging of linear processes that take place alternately between the three instruments. They often only take place at the micro level (e.g. in alternation with the same note being played in different ways as harmonics on the piano.) During the course of the piece, motor processes also develop, but the overriding ones always remain integrated into a linear process. The title describes a paradox ("far from distance," i.e. actually close), just as linear processes are often generated by refraction or "closeness" by microtonal "distance." '
