Browse All Concertos

At its simplest definition, as developed from the Baroque period, a concerto features an alternation between musical "forces"—a soloist and a larger ensemble.  There can be more than one soloist, and the larger ensemble could be an orchestra, wind band, or other group.  This collection includes all variants of the form, including concertante, concertino, etc.
